A sound reinforcement system for a rock concert in a stadium may be very complex, including hundreds of microphones, complex live sound mixing and signal processing systems, tens of thousands of watts of amplifier power, and multiple loudspeaker arrays, all overseen by a team of audio engineers and technicians.

It's fair to say that sound at festivals and larger venues has been revolutionised by the increased use of line arrays. Outdoor spaces are generally much less reflective than the great indoors, and while this is a good thing for sound quality and clarity, it means that the perceived sound levels can be lower.

Audience and room size are very important factors in choosing the PA – screen size is important for the video guys. We also need to know if the event is primarily a “talking head” type of meeting or if there will be video and audio content that they want to be able to “rock out” with. We’re able to see things coming and fix problems before they become catastrophic due in large part to the experience of our team and the quality of gear we use.
